2020: Start of BlaBlaHelp service in Russia
On April 16, 2020 the BlaBlaCar company announced start in Russia of free service for search of assistants. The new service received the name BlaBlaHelp.
In this application users can look for volunteers for the product delivery of a power supply and rendering other help to persons in need in the period of COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic.
BlaBlaHelp connects users of BlaBlaCar with neighbors who need the help in purchase of essential goods (that who is limited in movement, is in a zone of the increased risk of a disease of pneumonia, etc.), declared in the company.
The application is installed separately (by April 16, 2020 it available in the beta for devices running iOS and Android), but it is possible to log in to it through BlaBlaCar account. At the same time information on the rating of the user will also be saved. If the person is registered as the assistant, his icon is displayed on the card, and the user who needs the help, for example, in purchase of products can select the assistant and to leave him a request.[1]
It is noted that service was developed in a week. His creators note high potential of the project, considering the size of community of fellow travelers of BlaBlaCar in Russia. BlaBlaHelp can have 25 million users, consider in the company. At the same time the BlaBlaCar service to the middle of April, 2020 is disconnected in the Russian Federation because of a coronavirus.[2]
