2020: Development of a soundproofing cabin for remote work from the house

On April 16, 2020 the Rubius company, producer of acoustic cabins Qubius, announced release of soundproofing home-office for remote work during the self-isolation mode. Qubius Home suppresses up to 28 dB of noise – it enough to reduce children's exclamations to whisper level or to muffle repair sounds at neighbors.

The Home-office represents the cabin equipped with a table and an ergonomic chair. In Qubius Home there is also a dimmiruyemy lamp, sockets for connection of gadgets to network and the heater of drinks which is built in a table – that was hot tea or coffee always nearby. The cabin is equipped with a productive ventilation system therefore in it it is possible to work with comfort all day, claim in Rubius.

According to the producer, the back wall and a door of Qubius Home are executed of tinted shock-resistant glass. It passes enough daylight, but at the same time helps not to be distracted by house vanity. In a wall of a cabin are trimmed by esthetic fabric panels therefore the owner has Qubius Home always a beautiful and static background during video conferences with colleagues and partners.

An idea to make soundproofing home-office of founders of Qubius suggested to own experience of remote work.

"Since the end of March, 2020 all my family of the house. The child studies remotely, and we work with the wife. It became from the very first days clear – even in our three-room apartment there is not enough quiet place to work. And I should do tens of calls a day. Of course, colleagues with humour and understanding treat running against the background of members of household, but to partners there were awkward situations. As a result I thought to bring from office Qubius. As a result classical Qubius was adapted for the house. Reduced the weight and dimensions, added some functions and lowered a noise isolation to the level, necessary for the house.
