About the program
Personal IMS (Personal Internet Map Server) (Data Ist LLC developer) — the independent application for the publication on the Internet/intranet of the cards prepared using ArcGIS. Using Personal IMS it is possible to publish any card in the format .mxd, .mxt, or .pmf and to make it available to viewing via the Internet.
The normal browser and Internet access is necessary for viewing the cards published using Personal IMS. Installation and start of Personal IMS do not require the Web server and the additional server software — all necessary components already contain in this application.
Personal IMS components
- The cartographic server implemented in the form of system service of Windows and which is responsible for storage and access to the published cards.
- The administrator of Personal IMS for ArcGIS ArcCatalog, the server and cards allowing to administer.
- The administrator of Personal IMS for administration of the server and cards executed in the form of the independent application.
- The Web server with a set of HTML templates for viewing the published cards.
- The ASP set of templates and examples for Microsoft IIS.
