On April 20, 2020 the Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin signed the order about selection of the National Guard of the Russian Federation about 1.29 billion rubles on purchase of medical ventilators.

Select the National Guard of the Russian Federation from a reserve fund of the Government of the Russian Federation in 2020 budgetary appropriations in the amount of  1,287,273,200  rubles — it is specified at the order published on the official portal of legal information.

The government selected the National Guard of the Russian Federation 1.29 billion rubles for purchase of ventilators for treatment of military for COVID-19

The equipment will be used to treatment of patients "from among the military personnel and persons who are serving in the National Guard Troops of the Russian Federation and having special ranks of police". Besides, these funds should be allocated for "accomplishment of priority sanitary and epidemiologic actions on warning of spread of a new koronavirusny infection", the document says.

In addition to ventilators, the National Guard of the Russian Federation will spend the selected money for contactless thermometers, defibrillators, computer x-ray tomographs, obezzarazhivatel of air, transport boxes, disinfection means, medical disposable masks, gloves and another.

Staff of the National Guard of the Russian Federation, as well as police officers,  exercise control of observance by citizens of self-isolation, patrol streets and identify violators of the mode.

It is entrusted to National Guard of the Russian Federation to check that these means were spent to destination and to report on results by February 1, 2021. At the same time it is not reported who will supply the equipment for security officers.

Earlier the prime minister of the Russian Federation Mikhail Mishustin appointed Rostec Group the only supplier of medical ventilators (IVL), extracorporal membrane oxygenation (EKMO), thermal imagers, contactless thermometers and units for disinfecting of air till December 31, 2020.[1]
