Rostelecom started the unified station of collecting of measurements for Roskosmos

2020: Start of the unified station of collecting of measurements

Technical specialists "Rostelecom" and Russian space systemsRoskosmos JSC " (RKS, is included into State corporation) by request of Roskosmos State corporation set in Astrakhan the unified station of collecting of measurements which will increase the accuracy of work Global navigation satellite system (GLONASS). The station will accept information from satellites of all existing navigation systems with open signals. On April 20, 2020 reported about it "Rostelecom South".

Object in Astrakhan became the first project of Rostelecom in the south of Russia for Roskosmos and one of several tens of similar functional additions of GLONASS in a high-precision complex created by state corporation for receiving ultraprecise fixings by consumers in all territory of the country.

For us it is the first serious experience of cooperation with RKS. The project integrated in itself a set of tasks and showed that Rostelecom can do execution of works even in the space industry, noted Sergey Ovsyannikov, the director of the Astrakhan branch PJSC Rostelecom

The station is provided with uninterrupted power supply and connected to the centers of processing of navigation information of Roskosmos for optical infrastructure of Rostelecom. The national digital provider provided for this purpose the protected and normal communication channels on which all necessary information is transferred.

The Roskosmos state corporation and PJSC Rostelecom are the strategic partners continuing to expand and deepen long-term cooperation which example is placement of the station in the Astrakhan branch PJSC Rostelecom.

It is sure that our cooperation in installation in the region of the station developed in RKS will allow to increase considerably efficiency of a complex of navigation services to consumers of the Astrakhan region on the basis of information resources of PJSC Rostelecom, noted the head of department of land navigation and information systems and complexes of RKS Vitaly Sernov
