2020: Application launch

In April, 2020 it became known of start developed in Russia applications, showing how the child from  a celebrity could look. The program under the name "Icon: your children with stars" it is available in directories App Store and Google Play.

The algorithm in the application analyzes key features of "parents" and on the basis of the large volume of data issues result — the generated photo of the possible child. Users need to load only the photo and to select one of the offered famous people. The age of the virtual child can be configured ranging from 5 up to 37 years.

Creators "Icon: your children with stars" claim that service does not store the photo of users. In base of "stars" there are more than 100 people. By April 20, 2020 service reproduced over 11.8 million photos of virtual children.

The application can be downloaded free of charge, however for access to wider feature set it is necessary to make out a subscription which costs 299 and 999 rubles for week and month respectively.^[1]

In the Russian App Store this program by April 21, 2020 keeps the first place in category "Photo and Video". In five days in April, 2020 the application was downloaded by more than 700 thousand times. Developers do not call the number of users of paid functions.

Wanted to test technology and to look at how it will be accepted by audience. Fairly, such interest from users was waited by nobody. According to the plan wanted to make 150-200 thousand downloads, as a result in five days more than 700 thousand people downloaded and the digit grows on 100-130 thousand every day — the co-founder of the project Kirill Chekanov told vc.ru, having added that the product received wide popularity thanks to bloggers.

Chekanov created the application together with Grigory Tareev and Dmitry Pogosyan.
