2020: Announcement of the robot police officer

In April, 2020 the Infocomm LTD company provided  the robot police officer with setkomety, held for use police or peacekeeping forces for fight against aggressive-minded protesters and hooligans. Innovation is created based on the robotic Scorpion platform which the Ukrainian company entering League of the defense enterprises developed independently.

In Ukraine created the robot police officer who can catch criminals and produce lacrimogeneous gas

The robot can patrol streets remotely. Designers note that it will be especially relevant in the period of COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic to avoid direct communication between the police officer and other people on streets. Also law enforcement authorities can apply it to suppression of mass riots thanks to additional equipment.

The robot can be completed with the following hinged equipment:

  • remotely-controlled setkomet;
  • cylinder with remotely operated lacrimogeneous gas;
  • svetoakustichesky panel;
  • stroboscope flasher;
  • flashing indicator;
  • the monitor for communication;
  • public address system and microphone.

Also the device received a lidar and the radar, the thermal imager for temperature measurement of a body of the person, the video camera, the sensor of a geolocation and inertial sensors. In the robot cameras with the 360-degree overview and 30-fold increase are provided.

Control of the platform is exercised of the person who is directly standing on it, a remote image or is autonomous. For communication it is offered to use Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 3G and LTE

Moving independently along the set route, the robot can observe stops before an obstacle and go round them.

According to developers, their robotic platform is ready for use on city streets. At the time of the announcement of a product it is not announced his first potential customers.[1]
