2020: Start of the robot for automation of work of finance

On April 22, 2020 X5 Retail Group, the multiformat retail company of Russia, announced start of the robot for automation of work of finance regarding bank account management. The software solution is completely developed in laboratory of robotization X5.

The robot without participation of the person accepts statements from the software "Bank Client", loads them into the accounting system of the company and spreads in electronic archive images of statements in a PDF format. For April, 2020 more than 60% of amount of account statements of the company and networks are already automated. The project is started at full capacity, several banks are connected to a system.

Implementation of technology allows to increase efficiency of employees, to accelerate processes of work on statements and payments and also to increase security of transactions. The released time of employees will be used for maintenance of the appearing directions of business of the company.

Process automation, solving of tasks of program robotization for simplification of routine transactions in large volumes – an important part of digital transformation of the company. We are glad to report that we brought into operation of the first in corporate treasury robot for work with accounts. We are going to develop use of such technologies and to extend them to other financial functions that will allow to increase efficiency, to accelerate transactions and to exclude a possibility of a human error in conventional processes, comments the chief financial executive of X5 Retail Group Svetlana Demyashkevich

The laboratory of robotization (RPA) X5 was created in July, 2019 and is the separate innovation direction of development of the company. A task of laboratory - to reveal and digitize those "analog" processes where robotization can bring for short term the maximum economic effect, up to their full automation on the following, more large-scale stages of projects. Robotization helps to reduce labor costs in tens of business processes and to increase labor productivity. On the basis of systems analysis of routine processes in X5 registers of processes for start of robots and special methodology of screening were created.
