Rostelecom protects from cyber attacks System 112 in the Volgograd region

2020: Connection of Solar JSOC to System 112

On April 22, 2020 Rostelecom announced connection of services of the center of monitoring and response to incidents of information security of Solar JSOC to System 112 in the Volgograd region. The project is started within cooperation with State Budgetary Institution Center of Information Technologies of the Volgograd Region, work with which the national digital provider conducts also on other objects of the region.

Since 2019 specialists of Solar JSOC already perform the round-the-clock monitoring of a regional information system of health care of the Volgograd region and objects on its basis. Connection to service of national digital provider "Systems 112" became logical continuation of partnership development. It will increase reliability of work of both infrastructures and will reduce time of detection and response to cyber security incidents. Besides, for the transfer account of problems of information security on outsourcing there will be a decrease in total costs on cyber defense.

On health sector and the emergency operational services of the region the raised loading lays down. In a difficult epidemiological situation special attention to ensuring network security and data protection of these systems is required. The possibility of timely tracking of cyberthreats, rapid and effective response to them is an important task which we entrusted the reliable partner. Services of information security Rostelecom already proved, and after successful pilot operation we passed to full-function interaction, having expanded an area of responsibility of provider of cyber security, noted Alexey Nesytov, the head of State Budgetary Institution Center of Information Technologies of the Volgograd Region

According to FZ-187 "About security of critical information infrastructure of the Russian Federation" all information on the arising incidents is transferred via a secure channel to the regional center of the state detection system, warning and mitigation of consequences of the computer attacks (State system of detection, prevention and elimination of consequences of computer attacks). Experts of the Solar JSOC center analyze and investigate each incident and make recommendations about response to it and methods of elimination of effects.

Development of partnership in a part of cyber security with "The center of Information technologies" of the Volgograd region is an important indicator of trust to Rostelecom and our work. Application of our systems for protection against cyberthreats of strategic spheres of life activity and key infrastructure of public sector proved the high efficiency more than once.
