2020: Announcement of webMethods AppMesh
On April 21, 2020 the Software AG company provided webMethods AppMesh, the configured control panel for microservices, API interfaces and service networks. WebMethods AppMesh is created as expansion of the webMethods API Management Platform platform. The control panel adds an application context for service network and allows to adapt and control microservices and also to manage them as business applications.
According to the company, WebMethods AppMesh is developed for connection to any service network, she provides to the organizations the necessary information on applications for more effective management of integration on the basis of API. In particular, the tool allows the organizations to apply business rules in separate applications, to create for them own politicians of management and security, to add services and opportunities and also to execute routing and coordination of operation of applications taking into account a context. At the same time it is not required to make changes to the existing microservices or the basic code.
Our clients are interested in a possibility of effective use of microservices quickly to add the application, without rewriting the code and without making changes to architecture. The technology of service networks will help to cope with this task to us. Cooperation with Software AG and work with their product webMethods AppMesh will allow to consider aspects of level of applications in architecture of microservices of our clients that will minimize development of the code and implements the approach to politicians based on configurations. One of advantages of the solution webMethods AppMesh of Software AG – a possibility of the organizations to precisely understand how the application who and how uses it works. Besides, the solution allows to centralize management of applications and to simplify deployment and scaling of all architecture.
Among key features of a product it is possible to call the following:
- The configured protection of access – protection of microservices and risk reduction using the users expanded the politician of identification and security.
- Comprehensive control on a basis the politician – complete idea of actions of users. It is possible to manage behavior of the application using a row the politician which can be applied at the runtime.
- Tracking and traffic observation – regulation of traffic with the help the politician for load control on services of service provider. It is possible to limit quantity of calls of services in certain periods for the identified clients and keep the magazine of traffic (all requests and answers) for the subsequent analysis.
- Connection to service network – the webMethods AppMesh application is previously integrated with standard service networks. This application does not affect behavior of service network and takes not enough place, providing quick start.
- Dashboard for control of services – tracking of a way of transaction in service network. It is possible to learn how the application using the AppMesh dashboard with the filter displaying specific services in the application is used.
- Adding and removal of services from webMethods AppMesh – automatic inheritance the politician, appointed to other services in the application. It is possible to implement the updated opportunities without idle times.
- Automatic providing access to the API interface – the webMethods AppMesh application does a signature of API available to each service of network that allows to reuse it in the general landscape. Besides, now API interfaces can be configured using the complex platform of management of their lifecycle.
The service network was created for solving of tasks of the network layer, such as detection of services, possibility of connection and security. Therefore it is not focused on applications and tasks of business. But the product webMethods AppMesh connected all opportunities together to make solutions clear and useful to owners of applications and suppliers of API interfaces. In turn the organizations will be able quicker to create applications and to reduce time of their output to the market. Stefan Zigg, the director of products of Software AG told |
