Application of BIM reduced design of hospital by 10 times

Use of BIM technologies considerably accelerated construction of infectious diseases hospital in Nova Moskve. In particular, design of the medical center managed to be reduced by 10 times, declared in April, 2020 in Mosinzhproekt company. All documentation was prepared in 5 days.

"Use of technologies of information modeling together with round-the-clock operation more than 400 specialists of the best design institutes of the capital and also the competent organization of process of release of the work documentation allowed to accelerate design terms by 10 times. All technical solutions were made and issued in only 5 days" — the deputy CEO for design of JSC Mosinzhproekt Cherkesov Rustam reported.

At the same time the quality of the prepared documentation was high, emphasized, the expert. "For example, using BIM collisions quickly came to light when developing project solutions on a ventilation system. They allowed to exclude an air overflow from a dirty zone in net, having provided complete isolation from hit of a virus to the external environment" — marked out Circassians.

Let's remind, the infectious diseases hospital in Nova Moskve for patients with a coronavirus was built in only 37 days: from March 12 to April 17. The medical center has the area nearly 80 thousand sq.m and is located on section in 37 hectares.

According to Vedomosti, complete construction costs of an object could reach 22 billion rubles. Authorities of the capital did not count the total cost of construction of hospital yet. The Government of Moscow estimates previously object construction costs at 15 billion rubles, reported edition sources among city contractors.
