2020: Assessment of opportunities of optimization of a system of IT management

Within process of transition of JSC SK RSHB-Strakhovaniye to import-independent IT solutions and in the conditions of steady growth of business of the company, there was a need for the analysis of a current status of IT processes. It was required to estimate possibilities of improvement of a system of IT management of the company for ensuring its digital development. It became known on April 24, 2020.

Project implementation was enabled by the IT Expert company using own methodology which is based on the best international and Russian standards and practicians in the work.

The efficiency of the used methodology was confirmed with experience of its application to infrastructure of JSC SK RSHB-Strakhovaniye which undergoes difficult process of reorganization and adaptation to regulations and the principles of import substitution policy. This process is implemented in the conditions of existence of doubts concerning abilities to integrate domestic solutions as among themselves, and with solutions which already exist in infrastructure of the organizations and are not subject to replacement. The analysis of a status of IT infrastructure is designed to give the broad picture about the existing risks and the available resources not only for removal of the IT system of a modern sample on previous technology level, but also for creation of the step-by-step plan for development of all system of IT management.

Thus, premises for assessment of systems capabilities of IT management in JSC SK RSHB-Strakhovaniye were such:

• reorganization of usual structure of the IT system, commissioning of new solutions and integration between them,
• need of automation of a large number of IT transactions in connection with business growth,
• introduction of the changed IT processes,
• change of the user behavior in connection with transition of the company to often unusual solutions.

The user behavior plays an important role in functioning of the IT system. In the course of reorganization users undergo learning process and accustomings to interfaces and processes. On this background, the incident management process and process of management of addresses become one of the main IT processes.

Project Results:

• complete examination of a management system for IT processes is conducted,
• also mid-term plans on improvement of IT processes are developed briefly,
• the two-stage road map including actions for improvement of management of the IT system is built
• requirements to the IT system for process management improvement, entering it are formulated,
• plans for improvement of interrelations between IT and business for the purpose of increase in correlation between them are created (change management process).

The project according to a maturity of a system of IT management and assessment of opportunities of this system in JSC SK RSHB-Strakhovaniye was very interesting and significant for us. Pro-active approach of the colleagues from JSC SK RSHB-Strakhovaniye working for advancing showed including to us as it is important to book audit of a current status during global changes and at once to develop plans for further improvement of the updated IT system, said Mikhail Gribov, the managing partner of IT Expert

It is very useful experience, especially during an era of changes. When usual processes - the most right moment for feedback are rebuilt. The carried-out assessment allowed us to understand not only the current level of a maturity, but also to find opportunities for development of all IT system and the processes entering it.
