2020: Announcement of Montrans DMS

On April 28, 2020 the MONTRANS company reported that it developed an intelligent system of the help to drivers which allows to conduct remote monitoring of actions of the person driving and to control his state of health.

According to the company, the MONTRANS DMS system (driver monitoring system) carries out several tasks at once:

• controls the state of health and behavior of the employee driving
• warns the driver about non-staff situations
• transfers and writes all events in a cloud server

The DMS system is equipped with the thermal imager which fixes the body temperature of the person who appeared driving. In case of exceeding of permissible value, information is transferred to the server of the organization. Thus, the telematics excludes trips of sick drivers and prevents emergence on the road of dangerous situations.

In modern realities some people can not know about the come disease. For example, in the morning the driver had temperature +36.6, and after a lunch rose up to +38. In this case the MONTRANS DMS system will inform the employee on an aberration and will report the matter to the employer. And this control of a status of the driver will take place during all working day. Thereby, the telematics will not allow to allow dangerous situations when transporting and will help to save health or even life to the employee of the company. This solution is especially relevant during spread of a coronavirus. A system can be customized so that it will work on frequent cough or sneezing. One more option MONTRANS DMS - a system reacts to fatigue of the driver. The IP video camera fixes a ducking and the employee's yawning. The device gives a sound signal, brings the warning character to the monitor and transfers data to a cloud service. Also a system controls attentiveness of the driver. The IT solution will recognize when the person driving brings a cigarette to the person or when he begins to speak by phone. In similar cases the device also warns the driver about violation of the set regulations and sends to a cloud the video file with record of an event.

Together with DMS one more intelligent system - ADAS (advanced driver-assistance systems) is installed. This solution MONTRANS provides safe driving. For example, ADAS warns the driver about appearance of the pedestrian before the car, announces departure from a band, warns about possible collision with other vehicle and about speeding. At emergence of any such event, a system publishes a warning beep and brings the danger character to the monitor. For April, 2020 specialists of MONTRANS complete the work on more advanced version of the equipment which can distinguish persons. This option will allow to allow to driving only to the permitted drivers who underwent medical examination and received the waybill as the MONTRANS.ONLINE system compares data on the identity of the driver with data of the accounting systems and the issued permissions.

These developments of MONTRANS allow to control the state of health of the driver, to make transportations by safer and to collect video proofs for permission of disputable situations. Assembled a system consists of four components: ADAS, DMS, monitor of the notification and IP video camera. Watching video is possible online or for any selected time frame. There is an opportunity to configure registration only for disturbing events which are automatically loaded on the server. It saves the manager or the head from viewing large volumes of video. For example, it is possible to set parameter: loss by the driver of attention within 30 seconds or yawning within 5 minutes. It allows to avoid false operations and to react only to the worsening indicators. It is also possible to include notifications about each event.

Video control in the field of transport is ordered by the legislation of the Russian Federation. So, according to Federal Law No. 329 about transport security, carriers equip transport with the video surveillance systems capable to conduct video control online. Video monitoring of MONTRANS will help the companies to warn unpleasant and dangerous scenarios of succession of events and to increase the level of control of transport in general. So, for example, for April, 2020 in China and a number of the European countries equipment of cars of the taxi observation systems for drivers - became the mandatory requirement.
