2021: SDK-M-5.1 for Baikal-M
Baikal Electronics on March 15, 2021 announced the availability for download of the next release of the SDK (software development kit) for the Baikal-M microprocessor (BE-M1000) - SDK-M-5.1.
The SDK version presented contains the following key changes:
- The transition to LTS Linux Kernel 5.4 has been made, the kernel has been updated to 5.4.92;
- ARM Trusted Firmware (ARM TF) has been upgraded to version 2.4;
- TianoCore UEFI (EDK II) has been upgraded to edk2-stable202008;
- Linux boot is supported with SATA, NVMe, USB, SPI Flash, Gigabit Ethernet, DVD-ROM.
The -M version of SDK-M-5.1 processor Baikal is available for download on a file sharing resource.[1]
2020
SDK-T-5.4 for Baikal-T
Baikal Electronics announced on June 18, 2020 that an updated release of the SDK (software development kit) for the Baikal-T microprocessor (BE-T1000) - SDK-T-5.4[2] was available for download].
The following major changes have been made to this version of the SDK:
- Contains kernel Linux 5.4.43.
- Added driver XGbE
- Added support for AF_XDP sockets in Gigabit Ethernet driver
- Fixed Core Hang-Ups Due to TLB Interrupt Exception
- Added recommendations for building application libraries and utilities ffmpeg, libvpx, x264 (directory baikal/usr/mips_tips)
- Fixed error with incorrect DDR3 frequency output to U-Boot.
- Eclipse is removed
- Fixed minor errors in build scripts
- Excluded assembly targets BFK-1.6, BFK-1.6 + and QEMU.
SDK-M-4.2 for Baikal-M
On April 30, 2020, the company Baikal Electronics announced the availability for download of the next release (SDK software development kit) for micro (processor Baikal-M BE-M1000) - SDK-M-4.2.[3]
The updated version of the SDK contains the following major changes:
- All known errors have been resolved;
- The interface at the boot stage of the operating system was improved, a video console with USB keyboard and mouse support was added;
- Added the ability to boot from USB media;
- Improved video settings on the HDMI interface up to 2560x1440 @ 60Hz;
- Added support for eMMC/SD and SMBus interfaces;
- Added support for the MB-M1.0 motherboard (Mini-ITX form factor) for all 8 Arm Cortex-A57 cores at 1.5 GHz with up to 32 GB of DDR4-2400 memory;
- All changes to Linux kernel 4.9.216 have also been integrated into the SDK.
