Rosneft demanded 43 billion rubles from RBC
Rosneft demands through the court to recover 43 billion rubles from RBC. So the company assessed the damage to reputation from the title in one of the articles on the agency's website. As RBC was informed in May 2020, they received a statement of claim from Rosneft for a "record amount for the media market[1].
The article in question claimed that the Ryazan private security company of the state-owned Roszarubezhneft became the owner of one of the largest former Venezuelan assets of Rosneft - the National Oil Consortium. RBC is convinced "of the reliability and objectivity of the published information based solely on official data."

Creating a Company
In March 2020, Russia established a new company Roszarubezhneft, which is also engaged in the production and transportation of oil and associated petroleum gas. Its authorized capital is 322.7 billion rubles, the company is fully owned by the Federal Property Management Agency.
The CEO of the company is Nikolai Rybchuk. His full namesake is a member of the Angolan Veterans Council, a former military attaché and representative of the Federal Service for Military-Technical Cooperation (FSVTS) in the country. The head of Rosneft Igor Sechin also served in Angola in the mid-1980s.
The company is expected to manage Russia's former assets in Venezuela. For which Rosneft had to give its own 9.6% of the shares from the state.
