2020: The announcement of PACS systems for orthopedists and ambulance
At the beginning of May, 2020 the Konica Minolta Healthcare company provided PACS systems on work with images for orthopedists, family doctors and emergency doctors. It is about the solutions Rede PACS and Rede Mini PACS.
As the producer claims, the Rede PACS system working at the Exa platform provides a full range of diagnostic tools and a possibility of viewing images from any computer via the web interface. Rede PACS is suitable for the medical centers which conduct less than 20,000 visualization researches a year, at the same time the price of the tool is configured and depends on the annual volume of researches. This PACS system can be also unrolled in a cloud environment in the form of a packet "the software as service".
In turn Rede Mini PACS is developed for the specialized medical centers which conduct less than 2500 visualization researches every year. Rede Mini PACS is delivered complete with the x-ray and ultrasonic systems of the company. The browser of ZFP available in both configurations provides immediate viewing on any device, including the PC, tablets and smartphones, from any place in the world without the need for loading and installation of add-on modules. Thus, this PACS system can be also used through web access and provides fast transfer of medical images, as well as Rede PACS.
According to developers, PACS, and Rede Mini PACS use rendering on server side that is ensured by advantage in the speed and safety in comparison with other systems. This system also allows to lower technical requirements to the workstation equipment because the server undertakes workload of rendering of images that increases the capacity of the existing PCs.[1]
