2020: Completion of upgrade of an automatic control system IT resources

On April 30, 2020 TALMER company announced completion of completion of functionality of a system for the automated calculation and forecasting of infrastructure resources in X5 Retail Group.

Need of exact forecasting of requirement of IT systems for capacities and integration with information systems of the company which should transfer values of business drivers in the automatic mode became premises for project implementation.

Specialists of TALMER company overworked and implemented forecasting mechanisms based on algorithms of machine learning which allow to consider not only technical metrics of IT infrastructure, but also value of the business drivers which are responsible for development of IT systems.

The automated control system for capacities is integrated with sources of business drivers of IT systems of the company. Process of integration affected capacities of physical and virtual servers of DPC, the container platform, the storage systems (SS), virtualization and hardware and software systems of retail stores of networks under control of X5 Retail Group.

For ensuring integrity of forecasts monitoring of receipt of data is configured that allows to reveal timely errors, to undertake measures and to minimize risks at capacity planning. In online the mode monitoring gives the chance to see the status and the history of receipt both summary metrics, and separate objects. The prepared reporting allows to analyze influence of all existing business drivers on information systems and servers.

The single interface is developed for system management and processes. Functional set corresponds to cast, admitted to the companies (the manager, the architect, the administrator, the technical owner). For each function show-windows which answer problems of a role are created and automate work. The single interface of a system allows to interact effectively to divisions of the company and is transparent to manage process of issue of capacities.

The implemented project gives the chance to predict requirements of capacities of IT systems not only on the basis of statistical data on load of the existing IT infrastructure and values of business drivers, but also to predict business need for growth, the requirements to business drivers expressed in changes.
