On May 12, 2020 it became known that the U.S. Department of Justice signed with Veritone company the 2-year contract for development of the aiWARE Government platform using which is going to reduce time which the staff of department spends on information search in different affairs.
aiWARE Government is the platform which cornerstone is as it is called by Veritone, "the first-ever operating system for artificial intelligence" aiWARE. Within the contract Veritone will unroll aiWARE Government for solving of tasks of language translation of the speech which are contained in audio-and video files in archives of the ministry. A system will also solve problems of transcribing — the translation of the speech from audio and video in the text. It is necessary for receiving a possibility of the automated processing of these data.
Staff of the ministry will be able to get access to aiWARE Government by means of the regular eDiscovery system. It is supposed that the solution will help to accelerate significantly search of new proofs, proofs and other data in large volumes of information of different type on which manual analysis many man-hours leave.
aiWARE Government developed at a financial support of Ministry of Justice of the USA in March, 2019 underwent certification on the FedRAMP program thanks to what it was recognized as safe and is recommended for operation in federal authorities. In May, 2020 the validity of the certificate was extended.
According to the reached agreements, Veritone will become for the ministry the only supplier of the solution using artificial intelligence for information search.
In addition to aiWARE Government, the Veritone company proposes to the authorities solutions for identification of criminals on videos, configuration of data, search and the analysis of large volumes of data of different type and rasproznavaniye of persons in video surveillance systems.[1]
