Nornickel completes SAP ERP replication project

2019: SAP ERP Replication Project Completed

On May 12, 2020, BDO Unicon Business Solutions announced the completion of the SAP implementation project in the Norilsk Industrial District (NPR). The project was carried out jointly with Norilsk Nickel.

The project to replicate SAP ERP in Norilsk Nickel's NPR, implemented as part of Norilsk Nickel's IT initiatives program, has become one of the largest transformation projects implemented in Russia and the CIS. As a result of the implementation, the unified management information system covered more than 6,000 employees, about 50 assets and structural units in the region.

Thanks to the implementation of the project, the largest enterprises Norilsk industrial in the region became part of the unified information space of Norilsk Nickel, their processes were are integrated in the end-to-end production chain of the company. The project implementation period before the start was about 18 months, more than 2,000 people were involved in the project team.

Nornickel plans to continue developing a business management system based on SAP technologies as part of a comprehensive development program covering the horizon until 2025.
