The celibate priest Modest (in the world Roman Nikolaevich Panchenko) was born on June 6, 1974 in the city of Dniprodzerzhynsk of the Ukrainian SSR. He is baptized in infancy in the Pokrovsk temple of the village of Taromskoye of the Dnipropetrovsk region.
Education
Upon termination of high school studied at the Dniprodzerzhynsk technical university. In 1996 entered the Moscow theological seminary.
Biography
1999-2001
On December 4, 1999 by the rector of the Moscow spiritual schools bishop Evgeny it is delivered in the reader. 2020: Death from COVID-19 coronavirus
On May 14, 2020 became about the death of the fifth monk of Trinity-Sergius Lavra of the celibate priest Modest (Panchenko). The priest died from the complications caused by a koronavirusny infection of COVID-19. He was 45 years old, reported on the website of the Moscow city diocese.
The celibate priest Modest was engaged in educational and missionary activity, taught the Scripture in high school of the Orthodox gymnasium of a name of the Reverend Sergius in Sergiyev Posad, was the senior teacher of the Center of education of the military personnel of the Orthodox Christian Sacred Tikhonovsky of humanities university, taught theological courses at Voskresensk a farmstead (temple of the apostle Pyotr and Pavel).
Long time he was the senior priest at Boarding school of a name of the Reverend Sergey of Radonezh in the village of Toporkovo near Sergiyev Posad.[1]
