Onkonet - the telemedicine platform for remote monitoring of oncological patients after conservative treatment and chemotherapy.

2020: Connection to the N3.Health platform

On May 15, 2020 the Netrika company reported that it performed pilot connection of a cloud service of remote monitoring of oncological patients of Onkonet to the N3.Health platform. Data on health of the patient studying chemotherapy in an out-patient order will be included in its electronic medical record. Thus, the doctor will be able timely and effectively to adjust treatment of the patients who are out of a hospital.

According to the company, the Onkonet platform is created for remote observation of patients with oncological diseases during the post-hospital period. The doctor makes the individual questionnaire for the patient. The participant of monitoring receives the link to the questionnaire by e-mail and answers several simple questions – process takes no more than three minutes. Answers of the questionnaire develop in the "thermal card" which is visually displaying dynamics of health.

If answers of the patient correspond to the menacing status, the card is colored in red color, and in a system are generated an alarm signals for the doctor and the patient for the purpose of immediate reaction. Thus, the status of patients is better controlled by the doctor. The doctor can adjust therapy for decrease in extent of manifestation of ghost effects that is especially important for the patients studying chemotherapy and radiation therapy.

Within a pilot project the data of daily questioning using the N3.Health system are transferred to the integrated electronic medical record of the patient and become a part of the clinical record, to the available attending physician together with other data of the patient. Data exchange between the medical organizations and a clinic is performed through the protected circuit that ensures safety of connection.

Many agree with need of individual approach to purpose of therapy, however it is difficult to implement it in practice in connection with high load of doctors: for May, 2020 on average in our country 2.7 oncologists are the share of 50 thousand people. Modern technologies come to the rescue: thanks to the N3.Health platform the access for doctors to indicators of remote monitoring becomes simpler – so, the bigger number of patients will have an opportunity to get medical support when permanent internal observation of the specialist becomes impossible. told Vladimir Solovyov, the area development director Health care of Netrika company
