Together with distribution of COVID-19 understanding around the world grows that fight against a pandemic can demand slightly more time, than it was initially supposed. On this background the strategy of self-isolation in Japan was successful, and now the country begins to lift limits for freedom of movements gradually. Japan should stimulate an economic recovery in this absolutely new phase of the life, at the same time controlling the level of spread of an infection. Achievement of these purposes depends on successful development of drugs and vaccines therefore their rapid implementation is crucial.

Panasonic cooperates with the University of Osaka, especially in the field of developments and researches long ago and fruitfully. Therefore the corporation made the decision to give a financial support to the integrated research project which announced the large state and private organizations of Osaka in April, 2020.
