X5 and Alfa-Bank started the robot controller of payments

2020: Implementation of the robot monitoring receipts of payments from partners

On May 25, 2020 X5 Retail Group, the multiformat retail company of Russia, the managing director of retail chain stores Pyaterochka, Intersection and Roundabout, announced implementation of the robot who 24/7 monitors receipts of payments from partners and gives a signal of shipment of goods. The solution was it is created by developers of Alfa-Bank at the request of X5 in 2 months, it allows to accelerate transactions of the company significantly.

As specified TAdviser in the press service of X5 Retail Group, the robot works, first of all, with accounts of Alfa-Bank. He analyzes revenues to checking accounts of the companies of group on the set parameters. Data come to division of foreign trade activities and, for control, to treasury. Specialists on the party of X5 quickly obtain information necessary to them that allows to make decisions on shipment of goods automatically and in the round-the-clock mode, including in days off and holidays.

Implementation of technology increases efficiency of employees and many times accelerates work processes in general. Before creation of the program a large number of the entering positions and checking accounts of the company in search of transfers were browsed in the "manual" mode. This development will allow to confirm online information on payment and to accelerate a goods turnover.

In our plans for digitalization of the company the important part is assigned to automation of work of finance and process optimization using robots. This technology will make routine processes of intra day reconciliations more accurate and hi-tech process, and employees will be able to switch to more strategic tasks. We plan further development of projects of robotization in finance as using internal developments of X5, and solutions of partner banks, comments the chief financial executive of X5 Retail Group Svetlana Demyashkevich.

Since the end of 2018 in X5 the project of digital transformation which basis is process automation as in divisions of management company, and retail chain stores is consistently implemented. Within the project the problem of the analysis and digitizing of those "analog" processes where robotization can bring for short term the maximum economic effect, up to their full automation on the following, more large-scale stages is solved. Robotization helps to reduce labor costs and to increase labor productivity. On the basis of systems analysis of routine processes in X5 registers for start of robots and screening methodology were created.
