2020: Representation of Scientific Literature Search and Text Analysis

On June 4, 2020 it became known that specialists of SAS company created Scientific Literature Search and Text Analysis, the free environment with opportunities of visual text analysis which uses AI, machine learning, natural languag processing, linguistic rules and difficult methods of modeling.

Scientific Literature Search and Text Analysis

The scientific community constantly looks for vaccine and the most effective methods of treatment COVID-19. The leading research groups already collected and published in Open Research Dataset (CORD-19) more than 50 thousand articles on these subjects. To analyze such volume of scientific works and Scientific Literature Search and Text Analysis was developed.

SAS complements CORD-19 with the models developed by linguists and experts in the field of health care and pharmaceutics, using SAS Visual Text Analytics and SAS Visual Data Mining and Machine Learning on the SAS Viya platform.

Researchers can study in an interactive mode materials on different subjects, including the efficiency of different means of personal protection, social distancing, infection methods, methods of treatment, a virus mutation, etc. also take Models and visualize quantitative data, for example, the incubatory period and number of infections of COVID-19 from one person. A system allows to visualize the generalized quantitative data, to quickly define authoritativeness of sources and to execute keyword-based search in the original text.
