2020: Head of SITA at Airports and SITA at Borders

On June 4, 2020 it became known that the international supplier of IT solutions for an aviation industry of SITA announced changes in the structure of the top management controlling an exploration portfolio of the company. Appointments marked a decisive and difficult stage within gradual resuming of flights after long suspension of air traffic in connection with the crisis caused by a coronavirus pandemic.

David Lavorel who was earlier holding a position of the CEO of SITA FOR AIRCRAFT was appointed the head of SITA AT AIRPORTS and SITA AT BORDERS which part the exploration portfolio of the company for the airports and also for border and customs control is.

Support of airlines and airports which cooperate with SITA, in implementation of intelligent solutions and the innovation processes in the field of passenger traffic will become one of the key directions in 2020. Similar solutions are necessary for ensuring health and safety of aviatravellers and workers of the industry. SITA locates technical capabilities in the field of reengineering of a system of passenger traffic and management of quickly changing requirements to a procedure of border control, providing solutions, in particular, such as open cloud SITA API platform – SITA Flex.

David Lavorel will replace Matthys Serfontein who will retire after 13 years of work in SITA company.
