2020: Start of the Megafon Podcasts platform

On June 5, 2020 the Megafon company announced start of the Megafon Podcasts platform. In mobile application hundreds of thematic podcasts, lectures and audioarticles to which it is possible to load and listen are available to iOS or Android, without spending mobile traffic.

According to the company, an opportunity to listen to sound content in convenient time, without coming off routine tasks, made podcasts popular around the world, and their demand for June, 2020 grows. According to IAB Russia in 2019 the monthly audience of listeners of podcasts in Russia already exceeded 5 million people, in 2020 she will grow up twice and will reach 10.5 million users.

In the basic version "Megafon Podcasts" are collected audio recordings of the famous authors: the comic shows Joe Rogan Experience and Layfkhaker, popular lectures on literature and art from Arzamas studio, the educational TED and BBC projects – all for June, 2020 more than 200 podcasts in 11 categories. In addition to free Internet traffic when using the application, it allows to listen to audioarticles, lectures and reviews of world literary best-sellers, many of which are not translated into Russian yet.

"MegaFon Podcasts" for June, 2020 are available to loading in Google Play Market and AppStore Apple. Users of the application can reproduce records in the accelerated mode and save them in memory of the smartphone for further offline - uses even without Internet access.
