2020: Start of service
On June 9, 2020 the Russian company Spirit announced that its technologies found application in the Comera video messenger started by the Arab company Comera Tech.
In the press release it is said that the authorities of the UAE strictly regulate use of applications for voice and video conference. In the country FaceTime, Telegram and Skype are blocked WhatsApp. At the same time Comera Tech got permission from the local regulator and developed the application for group video calls, available to users as within the country, and for calls abroad.
The Comera application is created based on the messenger TeamSpirit.im and VIDEOCONFERENCING- servers VideoMost from Spirit company. Service also includes the localized interface, means of protecting of data and enciphering, registration of users and general management by service according to strict requirements of the legislation of the UAE. In the application it is possible to send a photo, video, voice messages and also to call by audio-and video conference.
Spirit notes that TeamSpirit.im is deeply integrated with the server for VideoMost video conferences, replaces foreign messengers and allows to start quickly video conference on the smartphone and also to exchange text messages, files, geopositions, stickers and it is convenient to create user groups.
The VideoMost VIDEOCONFERENCING server can be installed both in a cloud and in infrastructure of the organization. It is optimized for work on the notebook with Wi-Fi, on the smartphone with LTE, etc.[1]
