2020: Sale of software business

At the end of May, 2020 Haemonetics announced sale of software business. The equipment manufacturer for blood transfusion continues to sell assets to improve the financial position.

Under the terms of the agreement, the producer of medical IT solutions GPI Group buys business on development of software which develops division of Haemonetics Blood Center. It is about programs for management of donor work.

The equipment manufacturer for blood transfusion of Haemonetics sells software business

Haemonetics transfers all intellectual property connected with this business, contracts and other assets concerning software of ElDorado Donor, Hemasphere, Donor Doc, Donor Doc Phlebotomy, eDonor, DonorSpace, Surround and SafeTrace. These products are intended for optimization of work planning of the centers of collecting of blood donors, attraction and deduction of donors, collecting of blood, production and distribution of components.

Business management of GPI Group in the USA is exercised through Hemasoft subsidiary company. Hemasoft is the American company providing specialized program web solutions for the centers of blood donors, banks of blood, services of blood transfusion, laboratories of cellular therapy and banks of fabrics.

GPI Group and Haemonetics are going to close the transaction in the second quarter 2020, on condition of accomplishment of all formalities.

Haemonetics also announced one transaction — sale of production facilities in Puerto Rico GVS companies, to the leading equipment supplier for filtering of blood in critical situations.

In accordance with the terms agreements, Haemonetics company will reserve all intellectual property rights on the patent filters of blood made at the plant in Farkhardo (Puerto Rico), and GVS will receive some operational assets, including a production equipment and stock and also sublease of an object.^[1]
