In the middle of June, 2020 it became known of cooperation of Bangladesh computer council (BCC), the government agency controlling IT policy in the country with IBM. Partners are implemented by joint efforts a blockchain technology implementation project for increase in system effectiveness of electronic provision of pensions of teachers of elementary schools.
Bangladesh computer council decided to increase transparency and security of the pension system of school teachers. In particular, council suggests to create the permitted database on the basis of a blockchain platform of IBM for protection of pension information against potential cyber attacks.
Council intends to use transparency, security and the invariance of DLT technology for protection of the pension system against unauthorized correction of data. This approach to protection of a system not only will ensure safety of personal data of teachers, including concerning service life, salary and date of birth, but also guarantees that they will receive the correct payments.
It is remarkable that the electronic pension system - the first blockchain project of Bangladesh computer council. It was offered by developers from a command of National digital architecture of Bangladesh (BNDA). The development team of a new system of electronic provision of pensions consists of the staff of BNDA, the expert by training and several engineers of IBM Blockchain.
The command of Bangladesh computer council used advantages of integrated development environment of IBM Blockchain and produced the evidence of the new concept less than in three months. The team of engineers is going to continue use of the IBM Blockchain environment for development of the final version. When a new system is started, teachers will get access to the profiles and pension records through a special application.[1]
