2020: Release of Smart - VS

On June 10, 2020 it became known that the Datalogic company announced release of Smart - VS – the solution for Industry 4.0, capable to sort objects the same as the systems of machine vision, and having simplicity of setup and use.

This device gives to users of advantage as carries out detection tasks using the fast procedure of training and setup. Simple setup using the system of machine learning Datalogic Machine Learning Assisted Easy Setup eliminates need for specialized training and experience at fitters, technicians or operators.

Smart - VS can be configured and be controlled far off via the graphical user web interface (GUI) and Ethernet-connection. GUI provides statistics of scannings on a production line in real time and smart functions, such as databank about work and detection using several images.

Smart - VS increases performance of production applications and provides low total cost of ownership (TCO), replacing complex systems of sensors of machine vision. Besides, the metal body of the device conforming to requirements of security for class IP67, and the compact sizes allow clients seamlessly and without essential costs to integrate it into any production line.

Thanks to artificial intelligence technology (AI) and the configured algorithms of machine learning Smart - VS defines "good" and "bad" conditions of detection. After setup the device will provide in use equally high speed of a response (the determined time of 50 ms), despite differences in conditions, objects or factors of application. Smart - VS has capability of self-training in different conditions to perform the functions even at the increased noise, bad lighting, during the work with low-contrast objects, complex materials with high admission in positioning of an object.

Smart - VS will be demanded on production of food and drinks, pharmaceutical products and cosmetics, for installation on packing machines, on filling lines and in intralogistics.^[1]
