2020: Software exit

In the middle of June, 2020 the Canon Medical Systems company released the software of Compressed Speeder which, according to developers, allows to accelerate MRT-scanning and to service more patients. The technology already found application in the Vantage Orian 1.5T scanners.

New software recovers the full image on the basis of data of low resolution by iterative reconstruction that increases capacity of the MRT-device and allows to increase an interval between inspections of patients during which in case of need it is possible to disinfect the scanner. At the same time data of the patient are stored in security thanks to permanent updates from Microsoft and also thanks to function of white lists which provides to doctors access only to necessary applications and processes.

Compressed Speeder provides fast obtaining the image and can prevent emergence of artifacts and errors which are sometimes observed at standard parallel visualization. Besides, it provides higher resolution when using Spin Echo 2D Fast technology (FSE). During long scanning the discomfort of the patient is expressed in involuntary movements which can reduce quality of images therefore reduction of duration of the procedure not only improves the patient's impressions, but also promotes obtaining better pictures.

In MRT reduction of time of scanning is very important both for the patient, and for the doctor, - the managing director of MRT Canon Medical Systems USA business division Jonathan Furuyama noted. - Using Compressed Speeder software for the Vantage Orian 1.5T and Vantage Galan 3T MR-systems health workers can offer the patients a fast, convenient and safe method of inspection.[1]
