2020: Start of the platform
On June 17, 2020 Severstal announced start of the Metal Processing Hub online platform which is designed to provide to consumers access to network of production capacities for operational production of products or parts from metal.
Users of the digital platform can place the order for a full stroke of production or for a specific work type, and options of accomplishment of their order will be offered them.
During creation of this Severstal service aimed at implementation of the following main task: make all process from placement of the request before receiving finished goods the most effective and convenient for the client. That creates the request on the website then the request at the enterprises for production demanded by the customer of a part/work type forms.
The next step — the client receives a number of offers from potential contractors of the order from whom he selects the most suitable (the price, completion date, volume, etc.). After this the parties sign the delivery agreement and the enterprise starts order fulfillment under control of specialists of Severstal. At the final stage there are a check of products, packaging and delivery to the customer, it is told on the website of Severstal.
Severstal companies (Severstal-metiz, the machine-building center "SSM-Tyazhmash", Severstal Steel Solutions and the service metalcenter "SMTs-Kolpino") and also other enterprises entering into Severgroup will make a speech at start of the project by production partners of the platform. Also external production capacities will be attracted further.
The head of department on development of digital businesses of Severstal Sergey Habarov says that thanks to this project search time of the reliable supplier and runtime of the order, market, transparent pricing, even more effective use of raw materials and also additional charge of those sections of production which capacities stand idle because of seasonal decrease in demand or in a type of different speed of pass of procurements on repartitions is reduced.[1]
