2020: Pilot start of sales on AliExpress
On June 22, 2020 "Tape", one of retail networks Russia, announced start of an online show-window on the virtual trade platform AliExpress.
The range available on the online platform contains 1000 names for June, 2020, within several months it will be increased to 15,000 positions. These are the most popular types of goods with long term of storage and nonfoods at the prices provided in shop.
The order can be issued in official shop "Lenta" lenta.aliexpress.ru on the platform of a martketpleys. The partner of retail chain stores – GetFaster will be engaged in assembly. Delivery date – one day, in June, 2020 service will be free if the order amount exceeds 3,000 rubles. Besides, in each order of the buyer waits for a gift from Baltika company.
The pilot project will be implemented in the center of Moscow, after that he will earn in St. Petersburg.

After creation of JV AliExpress Rossiya we set an ambitious goal: increase number of local sellers and expand their range on the platform. We began to perform conceived at the end of 2019 — then on AliExpress there were product supermarkets which represent on our platform goods with long storage life (groceries, sweets, tea and coffee), goods for the house and household chemicals. At the very beginning of the self-isolation period we saw revival in category: at the end of March, 2020 sales of the product direction grew more than by 150%. In the nearest future we are going to be focused on development of this category: involve other sellers and expand the range, start promo-companies on the website that the buyer associated us not only with purchase of clothes or electronics, but also with food products. |
