Adding more than 2,000 audiobooks from Litres

On the interactive platform for children of Rostelecom there was a directory of audiobooks from Litres, book service in Russia and the CIS countries. In it for the beginning of August, 2020 more than 2,000 training and entertaining audiobooks for children and their parents, including classical works, a fantasy, national fairy tales and verses are submitted. The platform of Rostelecom creates the individual program of development of the child according to his age and hobbies. It contains a large number of useful content: training courses for children from 3 to 14 years, characters in augmented reality who help with study also do it more interesting and also musical entertaining library. Two thousand audiobooks from Litres for every taste for children of preschool and school age added the platform.

The main objective of children's audiobooks — to help the child with mastering of the world using bright artistic images, interesting plots and a simple language. Such books help to develop speech skills, abstract thinking and ability to analyze. Children's audiobooks are an opportunity for parents to spend free time with the children with advantage — the director of product office of a mass segment of Rostelecom Artem Chermenin told.

In the head of the little person there are always a lot of questions which adults cannot answer. Such kind and all the famous heroes as the Little Red Riding Hood, Tom Sawyer and Dunno will help to find answers. For kids the fairy tales developing books and cheerful verses are collected. Children of advanced age will find educational literature, a fantasy and adventures. Many audiobooks were included into the school program long ago and used for a home reading. Such authors as A.L. Bartho, A.S. Pushkin and L. Carroll are not less popular, than modern writers — the deputy CEO for marketing and the commercial direction of Litres group Irina Graaf noted.

The presentation of the interactive platform for children with AR and AI technologies

On June 22, 2020 it became known that Rostelecom started the interactive platform for children and their parents which allows to create the individual program of development of the child according to his age and hobbies. The platform is developed using neural network technologies, artificial intelligence (AI) and augmented reality (AR) based on mobile application of Devar company.

AR technologies allow to make training interesting and interactive that meets needs of modern children. Besides, it is proved that use of augmented reality increases attention and the involvement of the child to 45% in comparison with a traditional method of training.

Study on the platform of Rostelecom takes place in playful way. Children develop useful skills and explore the world using rates which are separated into three age groupes: 3–5 years, 6–8 years and 9–14 years. In the application the child has a collection of virtual assistants, at each of which — the history and character. Now thanks to new technologies of opportunities of a virtual assistant it is possible to get in any apartment, it will help with study and will make it more interesting.

Using the application children can train memory and attention, to make experiments and experiments, using objects which surround the child of the house, to communicate and take a photo and video with the assistants in AR. Also on the platform there is an extensive library of entertaining musical content to which in July informative children's books, audiobooks and video will be added.
