At the end of June, 2020 Mercedes-Benz and Nvidia announced cooperation within which cars of the German producer will use the technologies of pilotless management developed by the partner.

Mercedes-Benz and Nvidia are going to develop "the most advanced computing architecture, ever available in the car". Its basis will be formed by the Nvidia Drive platform. Mercedes-Benz intends to involve to involve new software-defined architecture in all the machines of new generation.

When developing new models both companies will apply the solutions Nvidia Drive Infrastructure for development of solutions on the basis of data retrieveds and using deep neuronets to adapt a product for requirements of regions of operation of cars.

The Nvidia Drive platform includes the complete program stack created for AI-applications of the automated driving. Nvidia and Mercedes-Benz will develop jointly applications of artificial intelligence and the automated driving, the including SAE 2 and 3 levels and also functions of the automated parking (to level 4).

In the joint press release it is noted that vzmozhnost of a new system will be developed with a full-fledged emphasis on security. In process of development of a technology and regulatory framework it will be possible to update software of any car and to add new features of the automated driving. Buyers will be able to purchase and add features, software applications and services on a subscription through wireless updates during all life of the car.

All future Mercedes-Benz cars with the Nvidia Drive system will be constantly serviced by a team of the qualified engineers who will add and improve possibilities of the car during all his life — the CEO the head of Nvidia Jensen Huang.[1]
