2020: Announcement of Digital Operations Center

On June 25, 2020 the Nokia company announced the cloud software solution the Center of digital transactions (Digital Operations Center) which gives to operators opportunities for income acquisition using the automated platform, economically and safely the managing director of services in network segments 5G during all lifecycle of services.

According to information, this solution of Nokia for management of network segments. It creates the safe, completely automated design process, implementation and operation of scalable network segments (slices) in multivendor, multidomain and multitechnological environments.

The center of digital transactions has modular architecture and includes in the structure of the solution Orchestration Center Nokia and Assurance Center Nokia. This solution allows operators to create and control without delays network segments in the necessary amount using automatic functions. As a result operators have an opportunity to strictly observe agreements on guaranteed quality of services (SLA) for any verticals and the industries.

Integrating management of traditionally separate processes of delivery of services (fulfillment) and support of their quality (assurance), the operator can rationally manage services during all their lifecycle, optimize use of the infrastructure, limit cases of excess selection of resources and automate processes of delivery and service improvement.

The center of digital transactions is under construction on the Common Software Foundation (CSF) Nokia platform which allows users to select a cloud platform for a hosting of solutions. Thanks to CSF it is easy to install, integrate and upgrade software products of Nokia using cloud computing. As a result the operator receives the flexibility necessary for quick response to the changing market demands with a possibility of expense control at continuous increase of complexity of networks.

Emergence of the technology 5G expanding performance and network transmission capacity allows operators to create slices (network segments) and to provide these segments to the enterprises on terms of subscription for the set purposes. For example, the company which is engaged in virtual games can order a slice for two hours, and sports stadium – for four hours.

Nokia helps the Singapore operator Singtel to test the "network as service" platform (Network as a Service, NaaS) which gives additional opportunities for management of network segments and their monitoring and allows to satisfy specific requirements corporate polzovayely due to fall forward, efficiency and flexibility.

The center of network transactions will appear in the market until the end of 2020.

To support the necessary level of dynamism and controllability of corporate networks at the guaranteed observance of conditions of SLA and increase in convenience of use, operators should improve the work and widely implement automation. The center of network transactions of Nokia with functions of network orchestration and quality management is a factor of implementation of network transactions on the basis of data analysis. It will allow operators to provide to corporate users network services on demand, selecting the network segment for each service.

Creation of the Center of network transactions of Nokia is a step on the way to providing all opportunities of network segmentation to operators to the moment when we begin to consider not only the user aspects of a 5G, but we pass to implementation of corporate and industrial opportunities of this technology. The center of network transactions supports all functions 5G on the Common Software Foundation Nokia platform.
