The Ministry of Education creates an interlocking system of dangerous content for school computers

On July 12, 2020 it became known of creation in Russia of an interlocking system of dangerous content for school computers. The Center of studying and network monitoring of young people (TsISM) created for protection of children and teenagers from influence of the negative information was engaged in implementation of the large project.

In a conversation with TASS the director of TsISM Deniz Zavarzin specified the name of technology — the hardware-software system of counteraction to destructive information influence on children and teenagers. The project assumes installation in educational institutions (first of all it is about schools) content filters which will allow to exclude access for pupils to negative content, he reported.

Filters will be able to carry out semantic analysis of the published texts and also with a high accuracy to recognize pictures, video and audiotracks. The purpose of a new initiative — to reveal and close access from schools to extremist materials.

According to Denis Zavarzin, by July 12, 2020 experts of the center defined already about 30 subcultures posing such threat for children and teenagers.

A system will block access to dangerous publications. It concerns extremist materials, distribution of criminal subculture, inducement to commission of actions which can do harm to teenagers or people surrounding them and also other types of network threats.

The autonomous nonprofit organization "Center of Studying and Network Monitoring of Young People" is created with for the purpose of development of a system on protection of the younger generation, children and teenagers from influence of the negative information. The center reveals content connected with suicide manifestations, cyberbullying, distribution of criminal subculture and other destructive trends among young people.[1]
