2021: Mask presentation with 100% protection against all viruses

On July 21, 2021, Radioelectronic Technologies Concern (KRET) announced the creation of an individual mask, which 100% protects against all viruses, including COVID-19.

According to TASS with reference to the general director of KRET Nikolai Kolesov, certification of the product is scheduled for 2022. He noted that the protective mask was significantly improved compared to the original version: light sources were replaced with more advanced ultraviolet LEDs of a new generation, which start the cleaning process.

Custom protection mask for 100% protection against all viruses

According to him, by July 2021, mask tests are being carried out in laboratories. In particular, tests were carried out on filtering and decomposition of viruses at the 48th Institute of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, which concluded that the effectiveness of the working element of the mask is close to 100%.

This year, the German Institute conducted tests, gave a protocol that the efficiency of the Tiokraft technology is 99.993%. No one can call anything more effective and reliable, "KRET added.

The Tiokraft system provides for two versions. One of them uses a built-in battery to power the ultraviolet cell. In the second (lightweight) version, the mask is placed overnight in a special decontaminating box. It is claimed that for the first time in the world, Russian specialists managed to solve the problem of integrating photocatalytic filters into personal protective equipment.

The chief doctor of the medical center "Leader of Medicine," a pediatrician, infectious disease specialist Yevgeny Timakov says that tissue reusable masks, as well as neoprene masks, do not protect against infection with coronavirus (COVID-19) infection. Moreover, they can cause skin problems, he added.[1]

2020: Announcement

On July 13, 2020, Rostec announced a universal mask that protects a person from viruses. The feature of the novelty is that it works on batteries and is a reusable product.

The mask developed by the Ramensky Instrument-Making Plant (RPZ, part of   Rostec's Radioelectronic Technologies Concern) will be sold under the Tiokraft brand.

This is a qualitatively new product, this is not a mask that can be worn and thrown out for an hour or two, this mask can be worn for several years, it is powered by an ordinary battery, "said RPZ Director General Sergei Anokhin, whose words are quoted on the Rostec website.

The mask cleans the air according to the principle of photocatalysis. Harmful impurities are retained by a filter, which is then broken down into water and carbon dioxide using ultraviolet radiation. gas

It is noted that the protective mask is effective against any type of microorganisms, including the tuberculosis stick, as well as spores of mold and fungi, bacteria, any volatile organic compounds and unpleasant odors of an organic nature. Such a respiratory mask will protect a person from viruses, including COVID-19, which are transmitted by air drop

The Tiokraft universal mask still requires tests, which are expected to take place before the end of 2020. After testing and obtaining all the necessary permissions, the product will be released to the market.

In addition to the mask, photocatalytic air purifiers are sold under the Tiokraft brand, which are able to cope with 99% of bacteria and viruses, including can become an effective way to combat COVID-19. Air purification and decontamination systems are produced in household, medical and industrial versions.

The Tiokraft instrument assembly line was launched in 2020. Investments in the project amounted to about 400 million rubles.[2]
