2020: Announcement of SuperSonic MACH 40

In the middle of July, 2020 the Hologic company released the first in the range mobile ultrasonic system. Model under the name SuperSonic MACH 40 it is intended for diagnosis of pathology of a mammary gland. A new system differs in a high image quality and is intended for increase in efficiency and accuracy of diagnostics, the producer claims.

The SuperSonic MACH 40 system uses exclusive technology of creation of images UltraFast which makes up to 20,000 images per second. This system is also supplied with the innovation modes of image processing on the basis of AI. A new system is also complemented with technology of visualization in the B-mode which helps to increase reliability of diagnostics thanks to smoother movements and the improved visibility of damages.

Hologic entered the market of the mobile ultrasonography scanners

In a system the technology of an elastografiya of third generation, ShearWave PLUS which provides additional diagnostic information is also used. It can be applied to visual control during a biopsy and to measurement of the pathological centers. The TriVu tool combines three innovation modes of visualization, allowing to estimate at the same time morphology, rigidity and a blood-groove.

The clinical physicians executing a biopsy under ultrasonic examination using the SuperSonic MACH 40 system can also use the Needle PL.US tool. He allows to visualize both a biopsiyny needle, and anatomical structures in real time and predicts a trajectory of the movement of a needle.

In general the SuperSonic MACH 40 system is designed to optimize workflow, reducing the quantity of unnecessary movements thanks to the improved design and the touch SonicPad trackpad. It should help health workers to reduce unnecessary biopsies at the expense of an exception of rescanning, reductions of time of image processing and increase in the overall diagnostic accuracy.[1]
