On July 15, 2020 the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation announced start of a system of transit of sanctions goods. Center of Development of Digital Platforms (CDDP) LLC under control of Igor Rotenberg which will operate with tracking of cargo transportation using electronic navigation seals on the basis of GLONASS became her operator.
Data on a load route with a digital seal are online available to carriers and consignors in a personal account on the website of the operator. Control supervisory authorities also on the Internet obtain data on observance of the mode of transportation of sanctions goods. For monitoring the control infrastructure of the Platon state system covering all federal highways, says Ministry of Transport is used.
It is supposed that the volume of transit of sanctions goods on motor and railway transport will exceed 82 thousand transportations a year. According to department, the way through Russia has high potential to further increase in transit at the expense of the smaller extent and fast delivery dates in comparison with traditional sea routes. By calculations of the international automobile cargo carriers each run to a bypass of Russia turns out more expensive more than for $5 thousand.
Now we will work technology and standards of information exchange between participants of cargo transportation on sanctions goods, then we will develop them for formation of an ecosystem of digital transport corridors and the uniform entrusted space of EEU — the Deputy Minister of Transport of the Russian Federation Alexey Semyonov said in the middle of July, 2020. |
According to him, opening of transit of sanctions goods will become an incentive for growth of container transportations through the Russian Federation, an opportunity for the Russian logistic companies in the period of a pandemic of a coronavirus of COVID-19 to receive additional loading and new large consignors in Asia and Europe.[1]
