Atos and International Olympic Committee prolonged the agreement on cooperation

2020: Prolongation of the agreement on cooperation

On July 15, 2020 Atos and the International Olympic Committee (IOC) announced prolongation of long-term international Olympic partnership till 2024.

As it was reported, Atos prolongs this cooperation with the purpose of continuation of digital transformation of the Olympic Games in quality of the system integrator and also for security of IT infrastructure at the Olympic Games in Beijing in 2022 and the Olympic Games in Paris in 2024.

For July, 2020 support of our global partners is important more than ever earlier. As the global partner Atos will continue support of the Olympic Games in Tokyo 2021, the Winter Olympic Games in Beijing 2022 and the Olympic Games in Paris 2024 where the main office of Atos company is located.

Besides, the agreement includes the rights to use a trademark and a brand of the International Paralympic Committee and the Paralympic Games and also Youth Olympic Games within the long-term agreement with the IOC and MPK.

For July, 2020 time of Atos cooperates with Organizing committee of the Olympic Games in Tokyo 2020, performing support of such Olympic systems as management of the accreditations and applications including requests of athletes for competitions, the volunteer online portal, the schedule of competitions, management of employees and the system of vote at elections to the Commission of athletes of the IOC. Besides, along with biographies of athletes and other reference information for media in the application official results of Games are reported.

During the Games in Pyongyang of 2018 Atos for the first time developed crucial IT systems using cloud solutions. The same technologies will be used at the Games in Tokyo 2021, supporting transition of the IOC to more sustainable solutions for minimization of impact on the environment in comparison with last competitions. At next games Atos will manage implementation of AACS – the improved system of access to contents.

Atos becomes the 12th international Olympic partner with whom the agreement till 2024 is signed. Long-term cooperation gives to the Olympic Movement financial stability and operational support that will help to have unstable times adequately.
