2020: The presentation of the UD70 solid state drive with support of PCIe Gen 3x4

On July 15, 2020 the Silicon Power company provided the UD70 solid state drive with support of PCIe Gen 3x4. This universal solution which will suit fans of assembly of the PC the hands to admirers of casual games and also users who are engaged in editing video or just want to update a configuration of the system.

Thanks to technology 3D QLC NAND in UD70 it was succeeded to achieve much more the bigger density of storage cells that allowed to increase its capacity (up to 2 TB) when preserving the minimum dimensions. Also among advantages of this solid state drive in a form factor of the M.2 2280 — support of NVMe 1.3, speed of reading is up to 3,400 Mbps and records up to 3,000 Mbps.

In UD70 the dual cooling system consisting of technology of power management in an active mode (ASPM) and management tools energy consumption (APST) is used. Also the system of tracking of temperature of the drive constantly controls it to avoid sudden falling of speed of reading/record or damage of data. Thanks to these UD70 mechanisms always holds temperature at the minimum level to save steadily high performance and to increase the service life.

The device is available in the capacity 500 GB, 1TB and 2 TB.
