2020: Updating of service of monitoring and analysis of IT infrastructure

Russian Center of the Analytical Systems (CAS), specializing in development, implementation and consulting in the field of the analysis data and digital transformation of the organizations, in 2019 deployed the service of monitoring and the analysis IT infrastructures by request of Management of office buildings Ministry of Agriculture Russia. The results of operation of this solution are summed up, work efficiency evaluation is carried out. Taking into account notes and offers, the Center of the analytical systems develops upgraded version of this solution directed to warning of failures and failures of the equipment and services, control of observance SLA from the servicing organizations. Now the solution can analyze indicators not only IT infrastructures, but also any equipment capable to transfer data the parameters, for example, of power supply systems, ventilation and others. It became known on July 16, 2020.

The updated solution TsAS represents the finished software package integrating technologies for collecting of versatile data on functioning of infrastructure of the enterprise at all levels, their automatic analysis by the set parameters and convenient visualization with a possibility of determination of the reasons of failures. Then, on the basis of the received results, the triggers working at emergence of a similar situation for the purpose of warning of failures and failures are configured. It is obvious that one of keyword parameters of such monitoring is the level of availability and smooth operation of IT services for all staff of the organization.

This solution provides the due notice of IT services of the organization about potential problems of functioning of infrastructure that, in turn, guarantees pro-active response to possible incidents. Such approach cardinally reduces time of forced idle time of employees because of unavailability of services as a result of accidents or failures, reduces costs for providing required SLA, excludes concealment of the facts of precritical condition of crucial objects. Besides, in this project the customer set the task to increase an average value of availability of the equipment and services and also to reduce costs for support, first of all, – due to timely prediction of emergency situations.

During the TsAS project provided: continuous monitoring of operability of all objects of IT infrastructure; collecting in uniform analytical storage and availability of retrospective and new data on operation of the equipment of the customer on more, than to hundred parameters; identification of cross impact of the factors creating emergency situations; segmentation of groups of factors on criticality levels; due notice of technical support.

As a result, in the first two months the number of critical events at the enterprise was reduced four times, and for the next 60 days – still twice. At the same time the total number of unforeseen failures of the equipment reached the level set by SLA, and load of technical support decreased several times. Also there was a possibility of the deep analysis of events by a big set of parameters (in real time, using all data which are saved up for monitoring system operating time). Waugh-many, such indicators it was succeeded to reach thanks to in a different way to the created three-level system of warnings of incidents allowing to distribute optimum resources of technical support, IT specialists and emergency crews. Respectively, the enterprise had an opportunity to work proactively, – without eliminating, and preventing accident.

It is important that the monitoring system is constructed by specialists of the Center of the Analytical Systems with use software with open source code that does its application attractive as for state and municipal structures, and the commercial organizations of any scale.

It is no secret that serious analytical work with data is one of key factors of management efficiency. And it fully concerns both business, and government institutions, – Alexey Mamonov, the founder and the CEO of the Center of the Analytical systems says. – We see that the organizations applying this approach most successfully work. At the same time, unfortunately, in the domestic market there are not enough solutions which, on the one hand, have powerful functionality so far, and with another, – would be available to a big range of customers. Understanding it, we offered the Russian enterprises such system: it is quickly unrolled, does not require significant conversions of infrastructure, is available on money and almost instantly brings return. At the same time our development is not a prototype, it is repeatedly experienced and functions in a number of the companies and organizations of our country.
