2020: A release of the updated application with chats and a "smart" tape

On July 20, 2020 RIA Novosti reported that IIA Russia Today released the updated mobile application of RIA. Its completely processed design reflects basic elements of the updated website Ria.ru.

The provided functionality includes chats and a "smart" tape: the application itself adapts to requests of users and allows to trace at the same time different plots using the convenient system of navigation on the main screen. At the same time a system is customized in such a way that the reader will not miss the most important information. All main tapes become available on one screen, and the element of the Informer interface allows to monitor online reports in real time, to browse "lightnings" and to manage audio.

The application of RIA is available on platforms iOS and Android, it can be loaded in shops App Store and Google Play.

At the same time some time also the previous version – RIA Novosti will be available to downloading that will allow to carry out migration of users not shokovo, and step by step, – the head of mobile technologies of the center of Internet technologies of IIA Russia Today Dmitry Gilev noted. – A feedback with loyal users will help us to finish functionality of the provided application.

The first mobile application from RIA Novosti was created five years ago. Only for 2019 it was downloaded about 300 thousand times. As of April, 2020 the number of its active users reached nearly 450 thousand.
