On July 21, 2020 the Eaton company announced the output of air circuit-breakers of the next generation – Eaton PSL. A series of the air time cut-outs PSL is created on the concept proposing flexible and safe solutions in different application. Modular construction of the air time cut-outs PSL and the range of accessories together with additional functions allows to adapt the device for the solution of necessary tasks.

As noted in Eaton, the air time cut-out PSL protects an electrical circuit and the equipment from an overload, short circuit, voltage drop, ground fault and has the selection protection with flexible configurations of actuation time. Range of rated currents of PSL switches: from 800 to 4000 And; the disconnecting capabilities: 55 kA and 66 kA.

According to the producer, among the main features of the provided series there are universal electronic PVR21 releasers. They implement protection of LSI, have optimal feature set and are easy-to-use thanks to the LED display displaying effective values of phase currents and current of a neutral. As optional function switches are equipped with LSIG protection with strain measurement.

The arc extinguish chamber and the system of power contacts of the PSL air circuit-breaker are created using technology of increase in the disconnecting capability. The resource of power contacts exceeds a switching resource of the switch; the optimized construction of the mechanism increases security of a product and opportunity to sustain short circuit, distributing load of contacts.

The provided series of the air time cut-outs PSL has possibilities of horizontal, vertical or L-shaped connection of buses.
