Reon Pocket (pocket conditioner)

2020: The announcement of Reon Pocket - the pocket conditioner from Sony

At the end of July, 2020 the Sony company provided the pocket conditioner. The device under the name Reon Pocket of the size of a palm of the person is charged through USB-C a cable and can be connected to the smartphone on iOS or Android in the wireless way (through Bluetooth).

On Reon Pocket on the one hand silicone laying which can be pressed to skin is fixed, and Reon Pocket uses Peltier's effect to absorb and generate heat. It is possible to use it as a normal portable device, and it is possible to purchase a special Sony undershirt with a pocket on back inside. The device put in a pocket is placed between blades and successfully cools skin due to passing of electric current in the place of contact of two diverse conductors. The undershirt to which the conditioner fastens is made of 90% of polyester which quickly absorbs moisture.

The Reon Pocket settings include three levels of cooling or heating and also the additional mode of pressurization which, however, can work only within two minutes. Sony developers claim that Reon Pocket can reduce temperature of a surface of a body by 13 °C, however the effect quickly dies away during removal from a source. The charge of the device lasts for 2-3 hour of work, depending on intensity. The device weighs about 80 grams therefore its weight is almost imperceptible, and the conditioner does not act from under clothes. It is worth noticing that it can be used at all seasons of the year because it supports both cooling, and heating in different temperature conditions.

Reon Pocket is available on sale only in Japan. By July 22, 2020 the device costs 13,000 yens ($122), and special undershirts of white or beige color will cost 1800 yens ($17) everyone. The application is available in the Japanese and English languages.^[1]
