2020: Expansion of a system of photovideo fixing
Rostelecom announced on July 23, 2020 expansion of a system of photovideo fixing on roads of Prikamye and implemented the functionality based on video analytics. Intelligent solutions are able to distinguish type of the vehicle and a type of cargo, in particular, round timber. 11 video complexes are set on roads of the region near forests. The special software for video analytics allows to distinguish the round timber transported by an open method on motor transport with an accuracy of 90%.
Forest resources in Perm Krai occupy 71.5% of the territory. Digital automatic control allows to fix activity of "black" woodcutters and carriers, to reduce illegal cutting and transportation of wood. Data from cameras are quickly transferred to traffic police and GKU "Center of Traffic Safety of Perm Krai" where specialists control legality of each run of timber carrying vessels. A system gives the chance to promptly check legality of relocation of the forest round timber.
Rostelecom consistently develops the system of photovideo fixing of violations on roads of Perm Krai, complementing it with functions of video analytics. The cameras for control of movement of wood are mounted in the possible and officially permitted places of deforestation. The equipment is installed at optimal height for tracking of movement of timber carrying vessels. And the viewing angle of cameras in 30–60 degrees allows to define load type with a high accuracy — the director of the Perm branch of Rostelecom Pyotr Kozlowski noted. |
Works on implementation and development of a system of photovideo fixing in Prikamye answer the purpose of the national project "Safe and Qualitative Highways" and are conducted together with the Ministry of Transport of Perm Krai and the regional "Center of traffic safety".
