According to the company, the travel assistant is part of the T-Bank AI assistant universe. Using AI technologies, users of the T-Travel service can now plan a "from and to" trip 2 times faster (compared to manual selection) - from choosing a destination and buying tickets to booking hotels and drawing up a leisure plan. The time savings grow in proportion to the complexity of the request from the user - especially when the user has not yet decided on specific dates or direction of the trip. In this case, the AI assistant can independently analyze different options on the Internet and offer different options.
The travel assistant is trained to select an individual route for the trip depending on various factors - the user's interests, the duration of the trip, the desired pace of rest, climatic conditions and others. The AI assistant can offer options for cities and countries for travel, a selection of air tickets and hotels with direct links for buying at optimal prices and recommendations for seeing and where to go in this city - from galleries to fashionable restaurants.
It was developed using its own technology - Gen-T - a family of specialized language models of T-Bank, which are easy to train for specific tasks. With these models, you can create AI assistants as experts in a specific field, in this case, in travel planning. The assistant can be quickly configured "for yourself": for this you need to make changes to the recommendations received and ask him for alternative options.
City Selection and Routing
The user can specify how many days he has, what time he plans a trip and what preferences should be taken into account - for example, climate, the presence of attractions or infrastructure for recreation with children. Based on these data, Travel Assistant will offer suitable options, help you decide on travel dates, and draw up a general travel plan with places for leisure.
The AI assistant studied on a large amount of data and can aggregate information about client requests in the T-Travel service from T-Bank, so he navigates in popular directions and knows rare local attractions.
Search for flights and hotels
Travel assistant can select flights and hotels taking into account the specified parameters and at the optimal price. Selected tickets and hotels can be bought immediately using the proposed link from the chat with the assistant. It is possible both an accurate search for specific dates and directions, and a more flexible one - for example, by months, holidays or the next weekend.
The user can specify preferences for the number of passengers, luggage, airlines, class of service, as well as set the conditions for accommodation - from the price range to the available amenities in the room - including in free form, for example, "a hotel with a pool in the center of Kazan."
Tips and Tricks
The travel assistant provides information about directions that can be suitable depending on the time of year, budget or user preferences. He can also talk about sights, cultural events, weather conditions and other features of the location. If there is a request, the assistant draws up an approximate leisure plan for each day, taking into account the specified parameters - the number of days, interests, the desired pace of rest.

In the future, the AI assistant will have the following updates:
- recommendations of directions taking into account current events in the world (festivals, concerts, sports events, etc.);
- answers taking into account the visa regime when building a route to foreign countries;
- voice communication.
Travel assistant is already available in the T-Bank application with version 7.11 and higher, in the T-Travel service. To start using it, you just need to write "Hello" or immediately ask the question of interest. All information about tickets and hotel is saved in the application in a single chat window and synchronized with the calendar in the user's mobile device.
In 2023, T-Travel launched its own hotel booking service in Russia and abroad with the ability to pay in rubles with a Russian card. By the end of 2024, almost every second traveler in the T-Bank ecosystem bought air tickets through the Air Tickets service. At the end of May 2025, the total number of clients of the T-Bank ecosystem grew by 18% year-on-year and reached 51.2 million.
2020: Telegram bot presentation
On July 23, 2020, it became known that the Tinkoff Travel service launched a chat bot on Telegram, which will search for air tickets for users at the most affordable prices.
To offer the lowest ticket prices for users, the bot analyzes the bases of most of the world's airlines, low-cost airlines and charter flights, seeks tickets for issuing agencies OneTwoTrip, Tickets.ru, Ozon Travel, Kupibilet, Kiwi and others. There is no mark-up: the price for the ticket offered by the bot will not differ from the websites of agencies and air carriers. The bot also monitors the change in ticket prices and reports it promptly.
In the starting version, you can use the Tinkoff Travel bot in the telegram channel or on the Tinkoff Travel Bot page.
Search in the Tinkoff Travel bot can be configured according to several parameters at once:
- country, city;
- month of departure or exact date, duration of trip;
- days of the week when you need to make a flight;
- flight with or without luggage;
- direct flight or with transfers, you can specify the number of transfers;
- desired price, upper price limit, or air ticket discount amount.
The traveler can choose a destination (both in Russia and around the world), set a price and other parameters and create one or more subscriptions - for different directions, dates, number of transfers, etc. As soon as the bot finds suitable tickets, it will send a message to the user in Telegram.
You can also specify the time when the user wants to receive notifications. For example, from 7:00 to 23:00. In the message, the bot will show everything that will help make a decision on the trip - the ticket price, flight dates, information about luggage and transfers.
If the ticket price changes while the client makes a decision, the bot will report it.
On the page with the found ticket, the bot shows other options. The user will see all flights in this direction and on these dates and, if necessary, will be able to choose another ticket.
In the next version of the bot
Now the bot sends notifications only to Telegram. There are plans to expand the number of instant messengers and channels, so authorization by phone number is provided for users. When creating a subscription, you need to enter your number, and then you can receive notifications and manage subscriptions where it is convenient - in the Tinkoff application or other instant messengers.
Also, the Tinkoff Travel bot will be able to automatically buy flights for customers if it finds that the found options correspond to the user's request.
The bot is looking for profitable tickets for any users, but Tinkoff customers additionally receive up to 5% bonuses, miles or cashback from the cost of tickets.
When buying tickets through Tinkoff Travel:
- Passport and customer card data are automatically substituted. No need to waste time filling out forms and worry about typos;
- you can exchange, return the ticket and clarify all questions about it through the Tinkoff support service, in which operators answer 24/7 in the chat and by phone.
