In July, 2020 the companies "Kaspersky Lab" also AVL Software and Functions announced joint development of an automobile electronic control unit in which program basis it is put operating system KasperskyOS.

According to developers, the technology excludes any unauthorized intervention in the system of the vehicle. In turn, communications and scenarios of interaction of different automobile components are regulated using the Kaspersky Security System engine which provides strict isolation of processes and by default blocks the actions which are not provided by security policies. Even if the malicious code will get to one of components, it will not be able to influence work of the vehicle as its functionality is not provided in a system, explained in Laboratory of Kaspersk.

Besides, within cooperation with consortium Autosar "Kaspersky Lab" developed the SDK tool kit which received the name Kaspersky Automotive Adaptive Platform. With its help it is possible to create applications for the automated and pilotless transport, for example, of software for condition monitoring of systems. A set of libraries also allows to set the third-party software conforming to requirements of architecture of Autosar Adaptive and to work with KasperskyOS without additional changes.[1]
