The authorities of Ukraine begin to monitor cryptocurrency transactions with the help a blockchain company

On July 23, 2020 the Ministry of digital transformation of Ukraine announced conclusion of an agreement with Crystal Blockchain BV company which in department is called one of world leading manufacturers of the software for monitoring of transactions with virtual assets. The memorandum directed to fast formation and legalization of cryptocurrency transactions in the country was signed.

The Dutch company by request of Mintsifra will provide a week-long training of specialists of the ministry of training in features of monitoring and determination of suspicious transactions with cryptocurrency. It will allow to implement in the future effectively procedures of financial control and as a result to increase transparency of the market. Mintsifra will be able to use the instrument of monitoring which will allow to check origin of suspicious transactions, says the ministry.

The analytical Crystal Blockchain programs began to be used by the Ukrainian banks, the private and government organizations for monitoring of financial transactions earlier, noted in Mintsifr.

According to information on the website Crystal, the platform maintains big quantity of cryptocurrencies, for example, bitcoin (BTC), air (ETH), Tether (USDT), XRP, Bitcoin Cash (BCH), an also ERC-20 and ERC-721 called nevzaimozamenyaemymi by tokens or NFT. At the same time there is no support of such digital coins focused on confidentiality as Zcash (ZEC) and Monero (XMR).

The ministry offered cooperation to four software makers, the deputy minister of digital transformation of Ukraine Alexander Bornyakov reported ForkLog. In addition to, Chainalysis company specializing in tracking of cryptocurrency transactions responded to the offer of Crystal Blockchain.

By the end of July, 2020 for consideration in To the Verkhovna Rada there is bill No. 3637 "About virtual assets", developed by Mintsifra, the deputy consolidation Blockchain4Ukraine and Blockchain Ukraine association (BAU).[1]
